Santarsiero: "Serve una nuova stagione di politiche per i Comuni e il Mezzogiorno"

Lo ha ribadito Vito Santarsiero(foto), sindaco di Potenza e delegato Anci alle politiche del Mezzogiorno, parlando alla manifestazione che ha visto mobilitarsi i sindaci del sud, arrivati al teatro Piccinni di Bari per chiedere al Governo un piano di sviluppo credibile per il Mezzogiorno. “Scontiamo l'equivoco dello stanziamento dei fondi straordinari in alternativa a quelli ordinari, il Sud reclama ancora l'85% degli stanziamenti per le aree svantaggiate, così come previsto dalle leggi e dagli impegni presi”, ha sottolineato il presidente di Anci Basilicata. “Negli ultimi cinque anni 50 miliardi di euro destinati sono stati trasferiti ad altri territori, con quei fondi abbiamo finanziato di tutto, dalle quote latte, ai trasporti nel lago di Garda, al disavanzo delle Ferrovie dello Stato”, ha puntualizzato.
Santarsiero, dopo aver ricordato il fallimento di tutte le politiche di sostegno addizionale, ha sottolineato come “quando l’Italia ha puntato sui Comuni, favorendo il protagonismo e l’autonomia dei territori, il Paese è cresciuto a ritmi elevati e il Sud è cresciuto a ritmi ancora superiori, come mai era successo”. “Abbiamo gli svantaggi, figli di una storia politica ed economica sbagliata.
